    • Macros - Other Macros

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Attach excel file into Confluence page
      2. Use viewexcel file macro to display the attached excel file
      3. Configure viewexcel to display only one row and column
        1. Input "1" into the "Last Row" field
        2. Input "1" into the "Last Column" field
      4. Save the page

      Expected Results:

Confluence should display only one row and column as configured by putting "1" into "Last Row" and "Last Column" fields

      Actual Results:

Confluence still render the whole excel file, ignoring the configured value

I wonder if this bug exists in Cloud.

Ten years old! TEN YEARS! What's even the point of having these bug tickets if they're never going to be addressed?

Can't state how much time I wasted trying to get this to work before searching the web. Didn't know if it was a timing or indexing issue or what. The work around is a PITA since we update our spreadsheets frequently but we're glad to have found the work around. Clearly since this ticket is still open, it is still broke. We're running 7.19.5. Not holding my breath for a fix if this was really Created: 25/Nov/2013 6:49 AM.

Found workaround of HD Nguyen, works in 7.13.1 (didn't test row=1/col=1):
The Excel macro is not honoring row and column limits

Still an issue for us. Annoying.

It's still the same in version 7.9.1. I think they would have no plan to fix non-serious issues. They might focus more on cloud version... That's sad...

Issue affects Confluence still in version 7.3.4. Does anybody know if it is fixed or not happening anymore in a newer version for Confluence Server?

Bug persists.  Recreating entire confluence page helps to reflect your changes but not a good workaround.  Cannot edit last row/last col after initially adding the macro to page.

Hello Nick, thank you for your hint. I'll try to create again the Confluence page. That's better than nothing.
