    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Recently on our own CAC server we discovered that in the space of a 5 years the size of our data grew over 2000%. Most of this was down to unused drafts with large attachments.

We manually cleaned the data older than a certain age, and will have to do so again in the future.

It would be preferable if Confluence could take care of this automatically. Some kind of scheduled job that will discard drafts older than say a year would be useful.

A comment from one of our own admins -

...would a setting admins can use to set the max lifespan of a draft (defaulting to unlimited, but with a note that turning it on may save disk space in some cases) be feasible?
