Multimedia Macro does not respect SSL with WMA files while in Internet Explorer

    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Duplicate
    • Priority: Low
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: 3.5
    • Component/s: None
    • Environment:

      PreReq: Confluence instance running behind SSL.

      1. Attach a WMA file to page.
      2. Use

      {multimedia:name=the_file.wma}

      Security alert will popup and may / may not load Object per security setup.

      We run in a very large regulated corporate environment, and security settings are completely out of the users hands. IE is the corporate browser unfortunately, since they can control company-wide security more easily.

      It would be nice if com.atlassian.renderer.embedded.EmbeddedWindowsMedia could detect the protocol of the request. If host is behind SSL, make an SSL request to: http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=5,1,52,701
