      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      There is no way to rewrite a space with the a space with the same name/spacekey. At present we can only delete a space and recreate a space with the same name to overwrite. This should be simpler, Atlassian should provide a simple feature to overwrite spaces.
