            Hello! has anyone heard of any progress on this?

            I have loads of projects I need to see the README.md file's content of in Confluence rather than having to update various Confluence pages each time a change is committed in Stash/Bitbucket. Would be an absolute relief if Bitbucket can easily integrate to Confluence like Jira could.

            Hey! Is there any movement on this?

            3rd party add-ons are not really an option for me and iframes do not work due to repositories being private :/

            @Gantner NV

            That is pretty much the same use-case that I have. Although we also wish to display test specifications.

            No luck with iframes due to authentication here as well.

            I'm receiving requests from certain users to be able to display readme files from Bitbucket inside a confluence article.

            i've tried recreating this with HTML viewers and using an iframe, but i'm blocked by authentication issues...

            Would love to have this feature.

            Can't agree more ! this is exactly what we need, be able to pull information stored in a git repository, and be able to use it in a Confluence page !

            Basicaly there is a such a use case as "Include item content which stored at git repository (Bitbucket, github, etc.) into confluence page" to satisfy following needs:

            • Generate and export  end user documentation to be included into delivery package;
            • Support actual knoledge base article for support team;
            • Generate and export documentation for external contractor (for example when proccess suppose such a paperwork to be done);
            • Support collaboration process when discussing a desision with wide audience;

            It would be great if confluence would support such a functionality as a macros, or in other way.

            Currently there is workaround to do such a thing using html-include macro, but it has limitations with systems requiring authorization to access content.

            To avoid a need to make user authorize himself against external system where content is imorted from you can make content publicaly accessible, but it has obvious security issue.

            There's a free add-on https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/me.davidsimpson.confluence.addon.bitbucket-issues/cloud/overview which might be a solution for those using Cloud Confluence

            We've just released a new add-on ScriptRunner for Confluence that allows users to link or embed content from Bitbucket.

            This is available as a bundled Script Macro called Markdown and allows you to refer to the URL to the "raw file" link.
