We face the same issue on our Confluence Server instance (7.19.3).

The issue was caused by pasting an image from Snipping-Tool into a draft page. Upon saving the page, the image was gone.
I'm kindly asking for a fix or a suitable workaround.

Seeing this in our instance of 7.19.3 with the windows snapshot feature. We can paste the image into Paint, but can't paste it directly to Confluence.

The problem also exists with the Atlassian Cloud and the current Firefox 107.0.
Example: I just added some text to an existing page with images that were previously displayed correctly. After publishing, instead of the images, only gray fields with "Preview unavailable" are displayed. The images are still there as attachments.
            This is frustrating!

This is not fixed. And it happens on Cloud, too.

I thought Atlassian is doing a throwback. This is a 10 year old bug for a version that is probably out of support. Its been fixed in newer versions.

Doesn't work on Chrome on Windows either.  Categorised as "medium" - are you kidding?  This turns putting a doc with a load of images onto a confluence page into a major hassle.  Usability is still going downhill...

Is this the same issue as CONFSERVER-65792 ?
