When editing subsequently saving a global template, labels for the template are duplicated

      When saving a global template, all labels associated with the template are duplicated.

      Steps to reproduce

      • Create a Global template in the administrative screens
      • Add a label to the template
      • Save Template
      • Open template for editing
      • Save template
      • observer that the created label is now shown twice

            This issue has been fixed in Confluence 4.3. We cannot provide a fix for prior versions right now and instead encourage everyone to upgrade to the newest version.

            Same here. It is impossible to remove the lables once they are there.
            Only work around for us it to delete the page template, and recreate it again.

            This issue occurs for us in 4.2.5 and 4.2.6 as well.

            It's also impossible to remove the labels but instead the list keep on growing/multiplying after each save.

            This bug is not just for global templates, but for space templates also. It occurs consistently. Editing the list of labels to try and remove the duplicates has the opposited effect - every time the template is edited (& saved) an extra label is added.

            Reproduced in 4.2 and 4.2.1.
