there have been serveral instances where having this feature would have been extremely useful.  E.g., shared page with note added and recipient lost, deleted or did not receive the message - the contents of the note included when sharing may not be lost.

This feature has been requestet 10 years ago an still is ist under consideration. For the use of Confluence Wiki in context of compliance and quality management, this ist absolutely needed. I hope this will be recognised quickly.

Same here, I want to track the shares by date, shared page/view, along with the comment sent (important for my case), and the recipients.
I usually send change requests and would like to track the suggestions and progress.
The CC feature is also interesting, but a dashboard view or something like this, would be ideal, I think.

For me, I mostly just want to be able to see the shares I sent along with the message I included and who it was sent to. A page somewhere in Confluence where I could pull it up could suffice.

What might also work and possibly be more useful even would be a way to "copy myself" on the share message outgoing like Google Calendar has for emailing event attendees. Then I'd at least have a record of it in my email and could track it there along with records of other similar sent messages.

Enhanced Sharing for Confluence provides the exact functionality in this feature request. We believe this should be part of the Confluence core product too, but unfortunately it isn't at this time.

Having the person who shares the page automatically receive the note would REALLY be helpful.  I get that sharing without history makes sharing valuable as a friendly/not tracked part of the record. BUT COPYING THE SENDER ISN'T REALLY ASKING THAT MUCH!  All too often I forget to add myself, and I have no idea if I included the right people, or if I navigated away from the page before sending it. 

As a workaround, if you add yourself in the 'Share' list, you not only receive the share yourself but on the alert that you get you will also see the names of the others with whom you shared.

I don't trust that my Share was sent out to all members of my list. After sending to 6 individuals, the confirmation message said something like "Your page has been shared with and 5 others". What am I to make of that?!

While this suggestion has gathered significant interest, we're unable to implement all of the excellent suggestions you make. We appreciate the benefits of such requests, but don't plan to work on this for the foreseeable future.

Hi all, there's a feature in Knowledge Pathways for Confluence (add-on) that allows you to invite (or share with) a user into a set of Confluence content and track their completion progress. When a user is invited, they will appear in the user list. When the user 'enrolls' to the content pathway, their progress will be visible from the same list, too.

Diego, no, they did not, the statement referred to the Cloud-version only. What that means for the server version is unclear, but it might help to inquire at voc@atlassian.com since Atlassian (paradoxically) don't seem to be very active in this JIRA issue.

I spoke to the Confluence Product Team and they have no immediate plans to add this feature to the Cloud version unfortunately. I apologise that I don't have better news for you - we try our best to accommodate as many feature requests as possible, but sometimes the investment, timing, or product direction might not match the incremental value for all users. Since the ticket is still open, we'll update with any additional news in the future.

This issue is still unassigned. Could someone from Atlassian please provide a status update, i.e. has the issue been allocated to a release, and if so, what is the ETA? We're running Confluence 5.10.0.

Please, take into consideration this suggestion, it would be pretty useful and would encourage the use of Confluence. If the users have to share with themselves to keep track of their shares they will still depend on their email and will not fully rely on Confluence for their collaboration.

The suggested workaround improves the internal mail storm. Through Confluence we'd like to reduce the quantity of mails. Notification by mail is okay as long as users are not permanently working in Confluence. But setting myself to the list and save the mail I've been sent (for ages....) reminds me of an old school method....

I'm looking forward to your adding this feature; the workaround of adding yourself to shares is just too easy to forget. The lack of this feature reduces the value of Confluence for many of our users, including myself.

This would be a great addition to Confluence

Sharing the page is a great feature in Confluence; you can send an email to multiple contacts without leaving the product. However, it's valuable to know whom the page was shared with in the past. It makes sense to have visibility on this at least for the page creator (if the page is private) and for all Confluence users (if the page is public).

Very important for large enterprises, when we need a prove that information had been communicate, to whom, and when.

I agree this is important from an audit perspective (as well as just keeping track of who you've shared with). Currently I share with myself at the same time, which is a bit counter-intuitive. Thanks.

This is very important to us from a security perspective, as we need to be able to audit all shares of certain pages. Sensitive corporate information falls under this category, and we need to be able to view any shares of a page, even if by an administrator.

To keep track of the shared pages is a very important task that needs to be implemented!

An incredibly important feature. A lot of company information is shared through Confluence, to create accountability for our staff receiving these pages I need to be able to see when/with whom I shared the content with.

A very important feature. A workaround is to share every page with yourself, but then you have the track history in your email program - not in the central communication and collaboration tool Confluence.

A very worthwhile, useful and important feature to add. It's important to me to be able to view the shares I have done.

I got a client of ours who explicitely asked for a feature like this! Implementation is crucial.

Share is also one of important functions I used. I want to know the share history.

I've have a need to be able to see the sharing history of a page so I can see who (users/groups) a page has been shared with. It would be useful as I don't want to be the guy that bombards people with the same share multiple times. Also if I come back to see a page later on (maybe a day later) It would be useful to know if I have already shared it with everyone that I want it shared with.

Really it would be useful for when I get those little 'memory glitches'.

In Confluence and JIRA the "share" is a dead end that breaks any attempt of tracking progress and auditing processes. And yet it is the only way of introducing (with Mentions, perhaps) additional users into the conversation.

At the VERY least, the user sharing a page with others should by default be added to the recipients list, so there's a chance for some kind of record of one's sharing activity within Conflu.
So, be humane/reasonable, Atlassian People, and fix this, plz.

This feature is preatty important for my organisation, too.

I looking for seeing who I have shared pages with. Not sure if we are aiming for the same functionality here or if I should create a new issue?

An acceptable solution to my suggestion would be to see in the activity list that I have shared a page and with whom.

This is not good that this feature is missing. Even Basecamp has this feature. I would have to disable this feature because there is no point in collaborating if you don't have all of the collaboration listed in the one place.

This also needs to show the comments typed in the share box as comments on the page.
