Page title with exclamation mark cannot be linked in Rich Text Editor

Bug Background

When using Rich Text Editor in Confluence 3.2, page title with exclamation mark cannot be linked to. This affects both the keyboard shortcut(by using the [ character) and also the link icon in Rich Text Editor.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a page with exclamation mark. For example. Test!
2. Create another page and enter the following as the contents:

   [
   

3. The keyboard shortcut will trigger the link function and provides a set of page titles which includes the Test! page
4. Select Test! as the page for the link
5. Save the page
6. The link will not be generated as a valid link. Instead it will be shown as the following:

   [Test\!|TSP:Test!]
   

7. When you edit the page again, the following will be displayed in Rich Text Mode:

   Test!|TSP:Test!
   

8. Round-triping between Rich Text and Wiki Markup editor causes the situation to be worse

Use Wiki Markup to enter the link:
