Autocomplete doesn't create links for special character pages correctly

    Description

      Created a page named ! and tried to add the link to that page from another page. When I saved the page, the link was broken. I checked the wiki markup that the autocomplete had created and it was:

       [\!|~alui:!]}}

      The correct link markup should be

      [!]

      I'm not sure why there is a leading non-breaking space either.
