Confluence performance / installation issue when using Java 6 u18 - u22

    Description

      Some customers have reported Confluence performance and installation issues when using using Java 6 Update 18 64 bit. The problem may also be evident when using Java 32 bit.

      Resolution

      Upgrade to Java 6 Update 23 or higher

      Workaround(s):

      • If using Update 18 or later, add to your setenv.bat/sh:
        -XX:CompileCommand=exclude,org/apache/velocity/runtime/directive/Foreach,render
