    Description

Currently the office connector views the files, and provides a link to edit the document (say the excel version) at the top of the viewing window. If you click on the link you get to edit the document directly though webdav, and save directly back to the server. Very nice!

It would be great if the macro could support just editing directly and skip viewing. If this was possible you could use something like the reporting macros to produce a list of attachments to a page. Then you could use that same report to provide an "edit" link directly on the report. Users would be able to easily browse and edit attachments directly on the server. No replacing attachments or anything of the sort.

You sort-of have this support with the editinwordlink macro, but thats only with word. Why not all the office attachments? We have a greater need for the editing of excel documents, and the only way we can do it right now is to allow the document to be viewed, then click on the link that is displayed above the macro window of the viewing spreadsheet.
