Unable to edit user profile of users managed with crowd

Our confluence is integrated with crowd to manage the users. In crowd we have an internal a read-only ldap directory.

If we chose the option "external user management", the users in the internal directory are no able to change their name and email (because they are grayed).. If I don't chose the option, the users in the ldap directory are not able to change their "about me" information because confluence complains it can't change the name and mail..

The solution would be to separate the edit profile page in two forms. The first form would be name/mail and would be activated or not depending the "external user management" option and the second form (independent from the previous one) would be always activated.
