Excerpt Macro - does not update links or show incoming links

We use excerpt and excerpt-inlcude macros extensively to benefit from modular documentation that can be reused in multiple consolidation documents. However if you change the name of a document which is being included in the consolidation documents, you have to manually update all links plus it does not show you incoming links in the document info, so you have no idea how many documents are affected.
