      1. create user macro through administration console -> Configuration -> User Macro.
      2. create the name of user macro, let say the name is test
      3. create the content of user macro:

      <table style="background-color:silver" width="100%"><tr><td><center>$body</center></td></tr></table>

      then create a page which has the following content :

      {test}

      test only

      {test}

      {test}

      test only

      {test}

      4. Edit and save it several times, space between two blocks of macros grows up. Please see the attach screen shots for better understanding.

            This issue is essentially a duplicate of the highly voted CONF-8798 and will be closed as such. Please vote for CONF-8798 if you have problems with newline characters around user macros from the rich text editor.

            Alternative way to reproduce this issue:

            1. Create any user-macro with a body
            2. Create a new page, use TinyMCE editor
            3. Insert some picture into a page - align centre
            4. Place your macro directly below this centre aligned picture
            5. Save. Edit. Save. Edit. Save.
            6. See newlines created between the picture and a macro
