Steps to reproduce:

1) Open the link properties window and define the alias exactly the same as your link
2) Define a tooltip for the link.
3) Re-edit the link in the link properties window and notice the tooltip added in step 2 above, has now been substituted in place of the link and the original link value is lost. The tooltip is now blank.
