Issue Summary
Table of Contents macro nested inside a Content Properties macro does not render on Confluence Cloud after the page is published.
A similar issue existed in Confluence Server/Data Center and was tracked under: CONFSERVER-54057 – Page Properties Report does not populate Table of Content macro
That issue was resolved as Fixed in February 2026.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Confluence Cloud page.
- Add a Content Properties macro.
- Populate the table inside the macro and add Table of Contents macro as a value inside one of the rows.
- Publish the page.
Expected Results
The Table of Contents macro nested inside the Content Properties macro is not rendered on the page.
Actual Results
The table of contents should render on the page after a publish.
Workaround
Place the table of contents macro outside of the Content properties macro.
