Currently, when adding an attachment to a Confluence page using the new cloud editor, it is not possible to add the same attachment again on the same page without re-uploading it. This limitation significantly impacts our users’ workflow, as many need to reuse the same files or images multiple times within a single page.
Request:
- Reuse Attachments on the Same Page:
-
- Attachments that have already been uploaded to a Confluence page should be available in the “Add image/file” macro.
-
- Users should be able to insert these existing attachments multiple times on the same page without needing to upload them again.
- Search and Add Attachments from Other Pages:
-
- Provide the ability to search for attachments from other Confluence pages.
-
- Allow users to add these attachments to the current page directly, streamlining content creation and reducing redundant uploads.
Benefits:
- Improves efficiency for users who frequently reuse files and images.
- Reduces storage redundancy and clutter from duplicate uploads.
- Enhances the overall user experience in the Confluence cloud editor.
Impact:
This feature would greatly benefit all users working with attachments in Confluence, especially in collaborative environments where content reuse is common.
