Issue Summary
Users are able to sort a group of pages by accessing Space Settings > Content > Reorder. However, unless the user triggering the process has edit permission on all affected pages, the page reorder is expected to fail.
Whenever the reorder fails, no messages are presented to the user in the front end, giving the impression that the process was successful.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a number of pages
- Drag & drop pages in the tree to set any given order
- Restrict a page (edit) to a defined set of users
- As an admin user who is not granted access to all pages, navigate to Space settings > Content > Reorder
- Click the "A-Z" button next to the parent page name to sort pages alphabetically
Expected Results
- Page order is updated in the UI and reflected in the page tree
Actual Results
- Page order is updated within the "Content > Reorder" menu, but not reflected correctly in the page tree
- In the backend, the page reorder has actually failed, despite having no error messages presented in the frontend.
Workaround
Pages can still be reordered manually by dragging & dropping within the page tree.
