      Problem

When editing Confluence Cloud pages in Safari Browser (Version 18.4 (20621.1.15.11.10)), users experience issues with the editor.

They are specifically unable to add space or text under a macro in a section (any different page layout, for example, 3 columns) because the cursor does not display correctly.

      Environment

      • Confluence Cloud
      • Safari Browser Version 18.4 (20621.1.15.11.10)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Open a Confluence Cloud page in Safari.
      2. Insert a section or use page layout to create columns.
      3. Place a macro (e.g., a table) within the section.
      4. Attempt to click out of the macro and enter text underneath or beside it.

      Expected Results

The cursor should be visible and allow users to select text or add spaces under or beside a macro without any issues.

      Actual Results

The cursor disappears when attempting to add text below or beside a macro, making it difficult to determine the cursor's location. This can occur both with and without page layouts.

      Workaround

Sometimes, clicking on the macro and using the keyboard's navigation arrows can move the cursor to the desired location.

This problem does not occur in Chrome, where the cursor remains visible and macros can be selected and moved easily.

      Notes

This issue affects sections, which are areas on the Confluence page that can be moved up or down. The problem is specific to Safari, as Chrome handles cursor visibility and macro selection without issues.
