Currently, there is no hard limit for many pages can be deleted when deleting pages through their hierarchy.
However, in some cases where there are too many pages in a single parent page, the deletion just returns the error message: "Your request is taking longer than expected to process. Please check back soon to see if it completed successfully".
It would be good to improve the messaging on this or set a limit if the deletion task is too large.
Alternatively, have the UI indicate potential problems, for example, if it notices there are more than 100 total pages being deleted. We could put a message on the delete module about that, or grey out the delete button if it will be impossible.
