Issue Summary
When attempting to manipulate and cut large tables (from 1000 rows or more) within a Confluence page, the selection process is slow and the cut action fails to execute properly. This results in an inability to move the table to another section/page efficiently.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a Confluence page in edit mode.
- Create or locate a table with approximately 1000 rows.
- Click the first row of the table.
- Attempt to select the entire table by either:
- Hovering the mouse down to the last row, or
- Clicking the first row, then holding the Shift key and clicking the last row.
- Press Cmd + X (or Ctrl + X on Windows) to cut the table.
Expected Results
The entire table should be selected and cut quickly, allowing it to be pasted into another location without delay.
Actual Results
- The selection process takes over 15 seconds.
- The cut action does not execute properly, failing to move the table to another location.
Workaround
A temporary workaround is available: Instead of cutting the table, you can copy it and then delete it from the original page. Follow these steps:
- Click on any cell of your large table.
- Click in the "Copy." button of the tools.
- Click the Trash bin icon to remove the table.
These steps are faster than attempting to cut the table.
