Problem
In Confluence Cloud Automation, the condition to verify if a page was created using a specific template does not function as expected when the page is created through another automation process.
Environment
Confluence Cloud Automation
Steps to Reproduce
- Set up an automation rule in Confluence Cloud to create and publish pages using a specific template.
- Set up a second automation rule with a condition to validate if a page was created using the specific template.
- Trigger the first automation to create a page.
- Observe the behavior of the second automation rule.
Expected Results
The second automation should correctly identify and validate that the page was created using the specific template.
Actual Results
The second automation fails to recognize that the page was created using the template (the automation isn't triggered at all), and no further actions are triggered.
Workaround
No workaround is available at the moment. When available, will be added here.
Notes
This issue was discussed in the community post: How can I automate the addition of labels to my newly created pages.
- The behavior appears to be related to the bug CONFCLOUD-79261, which states that "Create page action with templates should reference their source template on created pages."
