A4C: Pages created via Automation with templates does not use the width set in the template

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

      1. When creating templates in Confluence, we can set the width of the template and pages created via it to be "full width", or "fixed width".
        • Pages created manually using this template will use the width that's set in the template, regardless of the user's editor settings.
      2. But pages created using automation will instead use the user/actor's width setting in their profile.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. First, create a template in the site or Space, and set the width for the template to "full width".
      2. Create an automation that uses this template to create pages. For example:
        • Trigger: Manual
        • Action: Publish new page (with the template created above)
      3. In the user's site settings, "uncheck" the "Enable full-width as the default for new pages" option.
      4. As the same user, try to create a new page manually using the template.
        • The page will be set to "full width" as what we've set in the template.
      5. With the same user, trigger the automation to create the page.
        • The page will be created as "fixed-width" following the user's settings.

      Expected Results

      • Width set in the template should be used when pages are created using them.

      Actual Results

      • User's settings for editor is used for pages created using templates via Automation.

      Workaround

      • Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
