Issue Summary
After transferring page ownership to another user, creators still receive push notifications in the mobile app for mentions, shares, or activities related to that content, even if they are no longer following the page.
This occurs in both iOS and Android.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page in Confluence.
- Transfer ownership to another user.
- Stop watching the page/space.
- Sign into the Confluence Cloud mobile app. Make sure push notifications are turned on.
- Open up the test page in an Incognito window, and sign in with a test user account.
- Edit/publish the page, leave a reaction, or a comment.
Expected Results
Since you are not monitoring the page and are not the owner, it is not expected that you would receive a push notification. Confluence does not send in-app or email notifications to the page creator, which is a result of the fix in CONFCLOUD-76115.
Actual Results
As the page creator, you receive a push notification for each change.
Workaround
Aside from disabling push notifications or having the owner create a copy of the page, there are no other workarounds for this behavior. More workarounds will be added here when they become available.
