Previous owner/creator unwatching the page, are still getting in-app notifications

      Issue Summary

When the creator of a page changes ownership to another user, and making sure that they are not watching the page, they continue to receive in-app notifications whenever the page is edited by the new owner or by other users.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Access a page you're the owner
      2. Change the page's ownership to another user
      3. Make sure you're not watching the page (and not following the new owner)
      4. Have the new owner or another user to edit the page
      5. Notice that you get an in-app notification that someone edited the page

      Expected Results

Not getting in-app notifications about changes on the page.

      Actual Results

For every change on the page, you still receive in-app notifications.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.

I created a majority of our spaces when we implemented Confluence back in 2016/17. Despite unwatching everything and (thanks to the new feature) transferring page ownership to others, I still receive in-app notifications for everything. That's hundreds of pages. I keep missing important notifications because they are drowned in useless pings. Please fix this.

As a Confluence administrator I created many pages over the last years.

Last year we migrated to Cloud.

I still get in-app notifications in the notification box although I do not watch the pages, I do not have autowatch on and I have changed the ownership of the pages to somebody else.

            It is frustrating.
