Currently, Confluence Cloud lacks a dedicated REST API to directly track and report macro usage across pages. Users must rely on indirect methods, such as searching content via CQL or manually parsing page storage formats to analyze macro usage, which can be time-consuming and inefficient. This enhancement request proposes the introduction of a Macro Usage REST API that would provide an easy way to retrieve detailed information on macros used across spaces and pages, including macro names, usage frequency, and associated metadata. This would greatly improve reporting, auditing, and usage analysis for administrators and content managers.
