Issue Summary
Currently, upon upgrading Confluence Cloud from the free plan to any paid plan, Public links are automatically enabled as the system designed them.
When that action is triggered, an email notification is sent to the admins to advise them that the Public Links feature is now enabled on their site.
However, that email message states that the Public Links feature was enabled by the Anonymous, instead of advising that it was enabled automatically by the system when upgrading the plan.
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Free Confluence Cloud instance
- Upgrade/Start a trial of a paid plan (Standard or Premium)
- Check your mailbox to see if you received the 'Public links are now allowed in your Confluence site' email
Expected Results
The 'Public links are now allowed in your Confluence site' email message should include the real name of the user that triggered that action, and not the founding admin.
Actual Results
The 'Public links are now allowed in your Confluence site' email message includes the name of the founding admin name as if that user has enabled the Public Links feature, instead of the real user that triggered that action.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
