      Problem

In Confluence, there is currently no direct method to identify the original source of a copied page.

      Suggested Solution

Implement a feature in the 'Page Information' section that records and displays the source page ID and title when a page is copied. This could include a link back to the original page, providing users with easy access to the source content.

Additionally, consider adding a notification or log entry that documents the copying action, including details such as the date of copying and the user who performed the action (CONFCLOUD-45655).

      Why This Is Important

The ability to trace the origin of copied pages is crucial for maintaining content integrity and ensuring accurate attribution.

It assists users in understanding content lineage and supports content management and auditing processes within Confluence.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
