Problem Definition
The Confluence cloud-to-cloud migration tooling does not have the option to skip users and groups when migrating data between two cloud sites.
This prevents Admins from migrating space data only, without creating users.
Suggested Solution
Having the ability to migrate space-only data from cloud-to-cloud directly will help reduce the total time and number of migrations required to achieve the desired result.
Current Workarounds
- Space import and export
- Cloud to Cloud via Data Center
- Stand up a DC Confluence instance
- Migrate data from Source Cloud to Confluence DC
- Delete users on the Confluence DC
- Migrate from Confluence DC to the Destination Cloud site
- Cloud to Cloud to Cloud (using C2C)
- Migrate from a Source Cloud to a Staging Cloud site
- Delete all users on the Staging Cloud site
- Migrate data from the Staging Cloud site to the Destination Cloud
