Issue Summary
When a customer has their GitLab site setup with SAML-SSO enforcement, the Smart Links can't accurately provide the authentication option. Instead, users would see the link with the text: SAML sign-on for <namespace> - GitLab
Steps to Reproduce
- Follow the steps at https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/459949#steps-to-reproduce
Expected Results
These links should display the "Connect your GitLab account" option, allowing users to connect with the GitLab Smart Link integration.
Actual Results
The option to connect a GitLab account is missing, and users can't view data from GitLab as a Smart Link.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
Note: Users who connected their accounts before the SAML-SSO enforcement was enabled on GitLab will not be affected.
Turning off SAML-SSO enforcement on GitLab can help provide the connect option, but this is not recommended as a workaround.
