      Background

When editing long pages in Confluence, the editor does not have many options to jump between the different sections of the page. The only option is to use a "Table of Content" macro for the first 'jump' but then it requires endless scrolling.

Other applications provide some "Navigation Panel" to help with that. In Microsoft Word that's called "Document Map / Headings" (within their navigation panel) and in Google Docs it's called "Outline".

      Suggestion

Either create a new feature to provide similar navigation capabilities when editing a document (if expanded to viewing even better) or consider enhancing the Table of Content macro to float while navigating the content (CONFCLOUD-72545).
