Problem
PDF Export is unable to collect rendered content inside Tabs Macro in Legacy Editor. Consequently, only a progress bar of the macro loading is observed.
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
- Legacy Editor
- Tab Macro from Navitabs - Tabs for Confluence by bitvoodoo ag
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page in the Legacy Editor
- Add to this page a Tab Group and the Tab Macro
- Perform a PDF export of the page (
screenshots added as example)
Expected Results
The PDF export should contain the rendered content of the page as in the UI.
Actual Results
The PDF export is unable to load the rendered content when exporting to PDF.
Workaround
Export the page to Word;
- Convert the page to the New Editor;
- Export the page using another tool, e.g., Scroll PDF Exporter;
Notes
- Converting the page to the new editor is not a guaranteed solution because the editors have different limitations on what can be rendered inside it; depending on the context, a lot of manual work is required

CONFCLOUD-58656: Nesting tables are unsupported- The vendor also describes the limitations above:
- In this context, it's worth mentioning that this has a high impact on customers migrating to the Cloud (as the feature was previously working on OnPrem)
Considering that the content can be rendered on the UI, the PDF export should work if all the requirements on the cloud are met.
