            Same concerns on our side.

We face this issue on versions with important differences. But the same comparison takes only seconds in Word.

Is it possible to improve this behaviour quickly, as it has a negative impact on user's perception of Confluence capabilities, as they are comparing behaviour with other document management systems?

The workaround mentioned here doesnt make sense, How will I split a page from in version history. This is a basic function of Confluence where you can compare history version of an documents to know what has changed over the time, we moved from Server/DC to Cloud to get better performance and from what we are getting to know is not appealing, this is a serious degradation of application performance.
