The timeout value of the compare page versions is locked at 40 seconds. If a page has enough content in it or enough differences between versions, then the diff may take more than the 40 seconds to create.

I would like to propose that the performance of the diff operation for the "compare selected versions" functionality be reviewed and improved if possible.
