Description
Issue Summary
Attempting to bulk archive Confluence pages using the Bulk archive feature (https://yourDomain.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/<spaceKey>/bulktools) failed with misleading The archiving queue is full error message, even though there is no queued Bulk Page Unarchive Task found in the instance.
This error message is thrown when user who's attempting to perform the bulk archive page operation do not have Archive Space Permission on the Space.
Steps to Reproduce
- Access a Space where you do not have an Archive Pages Space Permission, but has Space Admin Permission.
- Then access the Bulk archive feature page (https://yourDomain.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/<spaceKey>/bulktools).
- And attempt to archive some pages from the list.
Expected Results
No pages should be listed on the Bulk archive page, as the user does not have a permission to archive page(s) within the Space.
OR
The error message should indicate that the user does not have Archive Pages Space Permission within the Space.
Actual Results
The below error is thrown in Confluence UI:
The archiving queue is full
Your team is archiving a large number of items. Try again later, after the queue has time to clear.
If this continues to happen, try contacting Atlassian Support.
Workaround
Navigate to the relevant Space's Space Permission page and assign Archive Pages Space Permission to the user or the group the user belongs to.
