Issue Summary
On Confluence Cloud, you can use the Share option in Confluence Cloud to email people a link to your page or blog post. This is a great way to invite your team to collaborate or share information with a large group of people.
When editing the page, instead of the Share button, you'll see a + (Invite to edit) button, where you'll be able to invite other users to edit the draft as well:

However, currently, it is not possible to invite guest users to edit a draft using that button.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a guest to your instance, and grant this guest access to a space.
- Go to that space that is being shared with the guest and create a page, or edit an existing one.
- Try to invite the guest to edit a draft through the + (Invite to edit) button from the Editor toolbar.
Expected Results
It should display the guest when you search for their name through the + (Invite to edit) button.
Actual Results
It does not display the guest when you search for their name through the + (Invite to edit) button. See the recording below:
Additionally, using the link from that same menu (+ (Invite to edit) > Copy link) does not work, and the guest may face an "Editing is restricted" message.

Workaround
Currently, the workaround would be copying the draft link directly from the URL:
