Issue Summary

On the Legacy Editor

• Pages with 100+ attachments linked to them will timeout when displaying these attachments through the attachment macro.
• Sometimes the page will load on the first attempt and might time out on subsequent refresh.

On the New Editor

• Attachments macro will time out with "Failed to get macro details"

The issue is exacerbated by Marketplace apps that add functionality to the attachments macro (e.g. edit)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Step 1 - Add 100+ attachments on the page using the Attachments macro
2. Step 2 - Publish and view the page

Expected Results

The attachments should be visible in the attachment macro.

Actual Results

• Page loading will timeout if attachment macro has more than 100 attachments (legacy editor)
• Attachment macro will timeout if attachment macro has more than 100 attachments (new editor)

Workaround

1. Recommend adding <50 attachments on one page for better performance.
2. Split the number of attachments into two different pages and check if you still see the error.

Workaround provided by users:

1. Click on the three-dot menu.
2. Scroll down to "Attachments" and click on it.
3. This will open the attachments page where all files should be visible.
4. Once the attachments page is loaded, return to the file list.
5. The files should now populate without timing out.
