Issue Summary
Inline comments on a Confluence page are getting resolved with the reason that the text was deleted, but the text was NOT deleted and is still present on the published page.
See also here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/Comments-marked-resolved-due-to-text-deletion-but-not-actually/qaq-p/1499810
Steps to Reproduce
- have a published page, add an inline comment
- open the page in the editor, go and make a change to a section of the page
- Publish the page
- The inline comment is resolved because the text was removed.
Expected Results
The only change to the page is the edited text and comments don't resolve
Actual Results
Inline comments made on the published page in the same session are resolved due to the text they are attached to being removed.
Workaround
Currently, there is a straightforward workaround for this behaviour. Please contact Atlassian support for further advice.
