Using pages with similar names makes the Contributors Summary erroneously display them

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

Upon configuring the Contributors summary macro to include contributions from a specific page, it picks content from different pages with similar names.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a page with a title that has similar words and a repeated letter (I.E. "Disappearing", "Accepting", "Accounting")
      2. On this page, add the Contributors summary macro and configure the Page name value to use the page in question.
        1. Different configurations for the macro such as Columns to display (I.E. "lastupdate") should be also used to see it in the list.
      3. Publish this page.
      4. Now, create different pages in the same space, using a similar name (I.E. "Disappear", "Accept", "Account"; "Disappearing test", "Accept test", "Account test").
      5. Refresh the page using the Contributors summary macro.

      Expected Results

Only the specific page should be displayed.

      Actual Results

All the pages using similar names from the space will be displayed. For example:

      Additional notes and tests

      • When the main page does not have a title using repeated letters, similar titles won't appear in the results (I.E. "Work" for the main page and "Working" for the other pages). However, if the other pages have the main page title + an additional word (I.E. the main page's title is "Work" and another page is "Work here"), it will be erroneously displayed in the results.
      • If the Include page hierarchy option is used with the descendants configuration, it will also display the child pages from the other pages with similar words. For example:
        Configuration and macro view Hierarchy
      • If the Include page hierarchy option is blank, it will still retrieve the pages with similar words, but not their child pages.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. The closest alternative could be to use titles that do not have similar names.
