Hello everyone,
For all the watchers of this request, we appreciate your patience and feedback about the daily notifications for guests needing space access.
Thanks to you, the frequency has now been changed from daily to weekly, but we are not done yet. We will keep this request open to continue gathering interest for the customization itself.
While we are monitoring it internally, if the frequency of the emails is still daily, as a site admin, feel free to raise a support ticket at https://getsupport.atlassian.com or reach out to the Atlassian Community at https://community.atlassian.com.
Thank you again for the opportunity to improve the Confluence features!
Wish you the best,
Giuliano C.
Confluence Product Lead
Summary
When a user is added as a guest, but does not have access to any spaces in Confluence, a daily email will be triggered for administrators:
Some guests on your site don't have access to any spaces
The following guests don't have any space access to your Confluence site:
GUEST USER
Without access to at least one space, guests won't be able to collaborate.
OR
When a user is added as a guest, a daily email will be triggered for administrators:
[Confluence] Guest added to your space
Suggestion
While this is a very useful feature, having this email daily could be a bit disruptive for scenarios where the user is added as a guest but does not have space access until they are ready or guests are added to the space.
This is a suggestion to allow the frequency of emails for guests without space access or guests added to the space to be manually configured by admins. For example:
- Change from daily to weekly or monthly
- Disable these emails
- Allow the ability to customize who they are sent to
- is related to
-
CONFCLOUD-76653 Disable the guest-related notifications by default
