Issue Summary
For users with expired sessions, attempting to access content open for public anonymous access instead redirects to a Confluence request access screen.
Steps to Reproduce
- With SAML SSO set up, navigate to Site Administration > Site Access and set your domain to be approved there, so users from that domain can join your site automatically;
- Make sure you do not grant Confluence access for new users on Site Administration > Product Access;
- Set your Confluence site and space with anonymous access - for the space, just the view permission is enough;
- Using a testing account under your approved domain, log in to https://id.atlassian.com/;
- Make sure to have a link to a page from the space that is open for anonymous and access it with this user.
- After the current browser session expires, try to access any content open for anonymous access
Expected Results
As the settings allow Anonymous Access, the user should be redirected to the page.
Actual Results
The user is sent to a request access screen
Note:
- The user is able to access it for one time, but after the current browser session gets expired, if the user tries to access it again, or even another page, using a direct link, this unexpected behavior will happen.
