Importing an XML backup from Confluence Server

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a XML site export from Confluence 5.10 or above
2. Go to the admin Site import section
3. Run the import

This has been tested with Confluence 7.10.0, 7.6.2, and 7.2

Expected Results

Import completes as expected, since this version is above 5.10.

Actual Results

The below exception is thrown in the Cloud instance logs:

We can't import your file because it's from an old server version. Please upgrade to Confluence server 5.10 or later, and then use the Cloud Migration Assistant for Confluence to migrate your spaces.

Notes

With versions above 7.10, the following error is seen:

Tried to import a full-site backup with build number 8506. Confluence (build number = 6452) will only accept site imports >= 3047 until current.

Although the error is misleading, any site import will fail even if a previous or newer version is used.

Workaround

Use the Cloud Migration assistant, or use the space import feature.
