Problem Definition

The New editor is currently lacking features which are imperative in many customers' workflows, and as a result, the Legacy editor has been made available for use in the interim. (See Change to your content is in your hands.)

Unfortunately, this is only useful when creating new pages, and not when creating new templates. New templates are created by default with the New editor. It is not possible to switch between available editors when creating templates.

Suggested Solution

As long as the Legacy template is available for creating new pages, Confluence users will also want to be able to create new templates with the Legacy editor. Need to determine a method to offer this as an option when creating new templates.

Workaround

No workaround. Editing templates created previously with the Legacy editor is still possible.
