Unable to create page from template if the template is using the old editor and has variable used

      Issue Summary

      Creating a page from template fails when the template keeps the old editor and has a variable in it.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Click the plus icon and select the template or click the button of "Create from Template" macro that has the template set

      Expected Results

      A new page will be created

      Actual Results

      Nothing happens

      Workaround

      Edit the template and remove the variables
