Summary
The new editing experience has received a recent update that allows us to copy the link from a heading in the published mode, which is great to work with them as anchors on different articles.
This is helpful, of course, but in order to improve this feature, it would be great if we could copy the heading link from within the editing mode of the page - this way we could have it working as the old editing experience feature, the Anchors macro.
Suggestion
- After inserting a header, the editor could open a toolbar right below the header our mouse cursor is placed on (similar to the one we have with the Layouts, for example) with the option to copy the link to that header;
OR
- After inserting the header, the editor's toolbar could provide us with an additional option to copy the header link our mouse cursor is placed on.
