Issue Summary
In Confluence, if the instance is open for anonymous access and there are no spaces granting permissions to create pages, the plus icon on the global sidebar will still be displayed, even though there will have no function available for it.
Steps to Reproduce
- As an administrator of Confluence, make sure to tap Settings.
- Go to Global Permissions and tap the Edit button.
- Make sure to check the Can use checkbox that allows anonymous access.
- Save the modification and make sure that no spaces have permissions for anonymous users to create pages.
Expected Results
The anonymous user should not see the create button, as the user can interact with it.
Actual Results
The button is displayed and if the anonymous user taps it, the following message is displayed:
Can't create pages in this space. Request permission from your Confluence administrator.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
