Description
Hi all - my name’s Jonno and I’m a PM working on the editor. We’re currently revisiting the way that the overall width of a table can be resized. We have a team looking into a new approach that will provide more options than just the three breakout options currently available today. We plan to follow this by working through enabling table width resizing when a page is in full-width mode.
We don’t have an exact timeline for delivery but we hope it to be available in the coming months. We will know more as our product team spends more time working through possible implementations.
We will update this ticket with any further information we have to share.
Cheers,
Jonno
Summary
In the new editing improvements, it's possible to display a table at full width, wide or center, but it's not possible to set your own table width. You can change the width of individual columns within the width of the table, but not alter the table width itself.
Suggestion
Provide the ability for users to set their own table widths in the editor.
