Severity 3 - Minor
Summary
When trying to upload files larger than 50MB by using the Attachments macro, the same will not be uploaded and no error messages will be displayed.
Steps to Reproduce
- As a Confluence administrator, go to Settings > General Configuration and change the maximum file size to a number higher than 50 MB.
- Insert an Attachments macro to a page. The File-list template can be used as an example, as the same will automatically insert the macro into the page.
- Click at Browse Files or Drag and drop the file to the Attachment macro field. Just make sure to select a file with 50MB+ size.
Expected Results
The file should be uploaded, or, a message including an error should be displayed.
Actual Results
The file isn't uploaded and no errors are displayed in the UI, besides only having a spinning wheel displayed near the option to upload files.
Workaround
Two workarounds can be used:
- Simply drag and drop the file to the page, while the same is published (not in edit mode). This will use a different method to have the upload completed.
- Edit the page and use the insert files and images option to upload the attachment.
