Summary
Google Drive add-on, by Atlassian, is currently blocking access to files on Drive, saying:
"We can't open this document as XXXX"
This seems to have started after 10-May-2019, after the last add-on update.
Environment
- This seems to happen on new authentications. So revoking authentication from Google's side and then try to reproduce these steps below
Steps to Reproduce
- Copy either a Google Docs/Sheets link
- Either paste the link directly into the page, or insert a macro by typying "/doc" ("{doc" on the old editor).
- Authenticate the session via the add-on
Expected Results
- User should be able to view the doc after the authentication.
Actual Results
- No doc is displayed, instead, a message is displayed as below (no matter how many times you try to authenticate)
Workaround
- If your company uses G Suite, check if the 3rd-party apps are allowed.
https://support.google.com/a/answer/6105699?hl=en - Tap the Switch accounts multiple times. Eventually, the document will be displayed.
